Description

Coyote Crag, one of the most popular crags in the area, is located at the southern edge of the Central Pinnacles and its sunny, well-featured southeast face is home to many classic moderates routes of the area.

Almost all of the climbs here have excellent rock and tend to be vertical with plentiful holds and a brief crux. Recommended routes here include Bye Crackie (5.7), Coyotes at Sunset (5.8), Black Magic Poodle (5.9) and Golden Poodle (5.9).

During the summer the climbs here go into the shade by mid-to-late afternoon, something to consider when the weather is hot.

I was there today and picked up a fair amount of trash including cigarette butts. If you are going to climb there please practice LNT principles and don't be an asshole. Sep 15, 2016
