[Hide Comment] I just booked a trip to S.D. for February 18-24, 2011 and I'd like to do some climbing (limited--my wife's not into it). I see that there are some boulders in the area but I'd also like to do a bit of sport climbing and I'm not crazy enough to free solo. What with luggage limitations, I'll only have room for shoes, chalk, and maybe a harness. Is there a good climbing gym where I might find some people heading out to J-Tree or other crags? We'll be staying on Sail Bay. Thanks. Nov 5, 2010

[Hide Comment] In response to the above post, we hope to organize Paint Free Santee II later in 2017 when it cools off! We've bought new equipment, and are ready to rock and roll!

In the meantime, there will be a presentation on climbing in The Needles June 29th at 730pm at the Mesa Rim CoWorking Center if you're interested in attending:

[Hide Comment] The 2nd Edition of the Lake Ramona guide is out now! It's such a unique area to have in San Diego. The 2nd edition is a big upgrade from the last one... there are triple the number of problems, better trails to navigate the hill, and it's printed in full color. Follow the link to the order form! forms.gle/anVNAsrLafiNUzuP9 May 13, 2022
