Description
This small rock forms part of a string of boulders whose summit is the East Sentinel Boulder. As seen from Sentinel pass if you scramble East a bit you will see that there are at least five large rocks that eventually reach up to the pass.
Downclimb rock has very steep West and North faces both of which have very exciting routes on them. One of them actually crosses right through a small cave that house a beehive...
There is one mellow route on the West side on somewhat rotten rock and of course the East face provides a fun easy scramble on surprisingly good rock

Getting There
Hike to Sentinel pass and turn the East Sentinel boulder on the left (North) and follow down an easy ramp system to a notch. From the bottom of the notch you can see the cave and the bee-hive on the West face. If heading for the East face continue down on the North side of the rock if going for the West face head right through a notch point and downclimb a 4th class slot.
