Per Kai Bouwman: the daily CO 7 highway closure/delay access issue is no longer a problem according to CDOT the construction finished as of Nov. 11, 2022.
From CDOT: Colorado Highway 7 is closed daily from MP 23-29.5. Motorists can only travel through the area between 6-8 am and 4-7 pm. During these timeframes, pilot cars will lead alternating one-way travel. Drivers should plan for delays, and this schedule will remain in place through Memorial Day 2022.
During the closure, motorists need to take US 36 to CO 7.

Description
The West end of Scout Rock is demarcated by a small drainage that heads North up the hillside and South through a culvert under the road to drain into the creek. Head North up the drainage for 200 feet. The rounded slab on the left is Scout Slab. Three bolted lines have been installed so far. The slab faces North and offers a fine spot to climb when you are looking for some shade.
Eds. note, this is on private property. According to the excellent Gillett guidebook, the landowner is permitting climbing on this corner of the property. Do not add new routes to the west in this area up to the house to the west without explicit permission.
