Description

This rock has all sorts of great climbing. The East side has many easy to moderate fun routes which are great for warming up or for beginners. The West side has many routes that should offer a challenge. Both sides offer three star routes. This is a great wall to start your climbing in the city.

Getting There

Park at the same parking lot as Parking Lot Rock. Take the trail to parking lot rock and when it heads left (North) take it. This rock is the one to the North of Parking Lot Rock.

[Hide Comment] The west side of Window Rock normally has a bird closure in the spring until June 15th, so check for closure signs in the parking lot. Feb 22, 2006

[Hide Comment] The East Face of Window Rock is very popular with large groups, beginners, and groups with children! Even though there are numerous routes at the 5.6-5.7 grade, only one set of anchors is available for descent. A single 60 meter rope will suffice for an abseil. Jul 7, 2012
[Hide Comment] Looking for some missing cams we lost at this area this last Wednesday (June 25th)
I believe a couple from a Portland climbing club may have accidentally picked them up.
