Description
Located in the Right Hand Fork of Maple Canyon, the Shady Lane is a great place to warm-up before heading to Minimum Crag or the Pipe Dream. The Lane is a narrow shady slot with a hand-full of gently overhanging routes between 10b and 11b. The only down side is that the staging areas for the starts of the routes is somewhat steep and loose, and could use some major trail work.
Getting There
The trailhead is located at a small pull-out big enough for two cars on the west side of the road. (The right hand side as you head uphill.) Hike up the trail for approximately 5 minutes. The first trail on the left will take you up to the Oxygen Wall (visible from the trail). To get to the Lane keep walking uphill and angling left. The Shady Lane is behind the Oxygen Wall and will be obvious. Shade in the morning
