Description

Mainly bolted slab routes on a south facing easy slab. This is next to a nice year round waterfall (hence the name). A lot of hikers like to try their hand at amateur climbing here as the rock deceives. Yet it is here to take a beginner, as they will succeed. Keep it clean, and help remind others to do the same. There are two distinct areas. The main area is slabby and climbs are easy with the exception of the outstanding Sweep Left 5.10b. The hidden area is to the right and consists of a big roof that most of the climbs either climb or avoid.
Gate Buttress Area Recreational Lease: Climbs on Church Buttress above vault remain closed Details

Getting There

Park 2.8 miles up canyon at big right hand corner. Hike up the short trail on the North, until you reach the falls.

The floods/rock slides of last week changed the base of the falls incredibly. It raised the ground level several feet and washed out boulder/trees at the top. Amazing! Jul 10, 2013

seems like every tree on the far right has at least a sling on it. I wouldn't trust any of them. May 14, 2006
One of the guys from the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance was going to be working on taking the numbers off of Pete's rock. He was going to be using some kind of solvent and a wire brush but I forget the exact details. You don't want to use something that's going to leave a permanent mark if possible. Aug 3, 2004
Some punk-ass has decided to "tag" the walls near Sweep Left with 2 orange adornements. Next time I get a free dime, I will attempt to clean this crap off. I was planning on using paint thinner, any other suggestions. Aug 3, 2004
