Description
Down by the stream east- and south-facing on good compact rock is this hidden gem. Some bolts and pitons, but gear is needed for most routes. Rappel anchors exist for the exits. Spring is not the best time due to the proximity of the stream.
This crag was at one time retro-bolted. The bolts were removed by community consensus. It's hard to come in after the fact and not know the whole story. Some who are are new to climbing might feel that this was done by a single person or without significant debate. This is an incorrect assumption.
This crag is part of a long history of traditional climbing in BCC. Crags with this style are a strong reminder of where climbing was and where climbing is going. Big Cottonwood Canyon is full of bolted routes and there are several crags in the immediate proximity for your choosing.
