[Hide Comment] This area has HUGE potential. There is seemingly limitless amazing formations with even more amazing backdrops! I am rather surprised that this area has not seen more development although I am sure the remoteness has something to do with it. There are many developed camp grounds and small resorts/hotels all along the coast. There is Ripplewoodripplewoodresort.com/ There is also Treebonestreebonesresort.com/ where you can stay in a Yurt! There is also the Ragged Point Innraggedpointinn.com/ As for camping check out CampOnecampone.com/ Also if you are looking to grub out check out Rocky Point Restaurantrocky-point.com/ They are about 12 miles south of Monterey.

[Hide Comment] I have to agree with M. Morley's comment regarding Isaac T's statement about the potential for climbing & bouldering along the central coast of CA. While there is a lot of rock this area is OFF the beaten path and NOT on the road to any destination areas, so can't be considered really accessible and the rock quality varies greatly.
