Description Suggest change

The Great Tower area on the West Bluff contains the fine formations of "The Blade" and the Prospect Point Towers. The area is secluded and sees no crowding in spite of the fine routes found here, probably because there is no real trail.

Getting There Suggest change

To access the Great Tower area follow the Tumbled Rocks Trail north past the cabins. Walk north to the start of the first exposed boulder field. On the south end of this boulder field there is a faint trail through the trees. Hike up this trail, past the Anchorpoint Boulder, until you reach Sun Top Tower.

To reach The Blade continue hiking up the bluff over boulders on the south side of the Great Tower. After about 150 feet you will encounter The Blade, across a small boulder field.

These formations may also be reached by dropping down from Prospect Point.  Head down the boulder field below Prospect Point Pinnacle.  You will find Picnic Wall in the first group of trees to your left (skier's left).
