Super Creeps Wall

California > Joshua Tree NP > Lost Horse Area
Warning Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures DetailsDrop down

Description

A small but excellent east-facing crag with short demanding lines. The cliff lies just west of the parking area at the end of the Lost Horse Road.

The face can be identified by several thin cracks and a striking left-facing corner. This wall is home to the classic stemming testpiece Scary Monsters (5.12a) as well as the excellent thin cracks of Young Frankenstein (5.11a) and Waltzing Worm (5.12a).

Getting There

From Quail Springs Road/Park Boulevard, drive 0.6 miles south down the Lost Horse Road (dirt) to a gate. Park here (as for Atlantis, Super Heroes Wall, etc.). As you face the gate, the wall will be about 75 yards up and to your right. Walk around the gate and continue about 200 feet down the road. Leave the road on the right and do a short scramble up rubble to the base of the cliff.
