The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
Drive approximately 4.5 miles south along Geology Tour Road (dirt, but 4WD not necessary) from Sheep Pass Loop Road and park in turnout on right. Backtrack along road for a quarter mile to a formation that lies just east of the road and can be identified by the twin "cracks" on the SW face. These are the Lechlinski Cracks. Routes of note are the Lechlinski Cracks (5.9) and Waugh Crack (5.10b).
Getting There
