Description

This is a spread out area just east of the famous Slickrock mountain biking trail. You will almost certainly have this beautiful place to yourself. There are some nice towers like the Rhino Horn and Elvis's Hammer and a bunch of smaller ones that may still be awaiting first ascents(though probably they have been climbed and are just not in any published guidebook). Good remote feeling climbing not far from Moab.

Getting There

From Moab, take the Sand Flats Road past the Slickrock trail until the towers are obvious. The road gets steep and windy past the popular mountain biking areas. You don't need to pay the fee if you are headed to the towers.

You can also approach this from the La Sal Mountain Loop Road, which is a really nice drive. Head south on the Sand Flats Road until you see the towers(quite a long ways). The road is very rough in places and a 4WD drive is not a bad idea.
