Mention the state of Nevada and outsiders think of Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, deserts, UFO sightings, etc., but for the rock climber it's Red Rocks in Southern Nevada.
Beyond the sandstone peaks of Red Rock and the many limestone crags surrounding Las Vegas, Nevada has a nearly unlimited wealth of climbable rock. With the most named mountain ranges of any state (>300), there are many types of rock available to climb with generally favorable weather. The very low population density of the state has allowed for much of this rock to remain undeveloped and unexplored. For the intrepid desert adventurer, a nearly infinite number of first ascents await.

Red rock is surely the name...but its not a park!
Big difference between the National Park Service(NPS) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Red Rock canyon is a "National Conservation Area" managed by the BLM.
If it were a park we'd have been legally hand drilling for years!
