The start of the trail is a little faint - look for a beaten-in path through the pine needles more or less across from the east end of the dirt pullout. It starts about 100' west of a large boulder on the north side of the road. It is steep and loose near the top, but takes about 10 minutes up if you're moving along, or 15 minutes if you're taking your time. It deposits you at the center of the cliff in front of the namesake route.
