Approach to The North Overhangs from Branbury State Park

Parking is available for a fee at Branbury State park or at various pull-offs further south along Route 53. From the Branbury State Park Campground entrance head east to the "Lower Cliff Trail" trailhead sign/information board. Follow the blue-blazed trail uphill through a hemlock forest. You'll pass the Main Crag (on right) and continue uphill on the Lower Cliff Trail across a small wooden bridge and further uphill. After passing a view over some cliffs to the left you'll see the base of the crag on your right about 50' off the trail.
