Approach to Swimming Hole Rock from Power Plant Park

Park at Power Plant Park. From parking lot take the side walk west till you find the staircase. The staircase will lead you down to some switchbacks. Take the switchbacks to the bottom of the gorge. there is a road at the bottom. Follow the road, that follows the canyon wall, to the trail junction. Look left towards the river and you should be looking at the back side of Swimming Hole Rock.
