Approach to Main Elk Crag

The trail shares the start to the same approach to Pup Tent. You'll take a left at the first trail junction. You'll drop down to the property line and follow the valley floor. The trail breaks right over a rocky wash then you'll see the "staircase" up to the crag. If you run into the creek you either are planning on heading across the creek to the other crag or have gone to far and missed your turn right.
