VF Cesare Piazzetta to Piz Boè approach

Closest parking is (N46.4911, E11.8275) just below ossuary / WWI memorial which is reached by side road gentle NNE from (N46.4875, E11.8127) just east of Passo Pordoi (which is east up from Canazei or west from Arabba). First 250m NE up to ossuary, then follow signs for Via Ferrata, at first NW, then NNE, then N. Meet trail 626 which runs roughly E-W along the base of the cliffs (another way to reach the VF). Turn R (E) onto 626 and go about 160 meters to the bottom start (N46.5024, E11.8305) of the VF cable. One of the more difficult + strenuous VF routes in the Dolomites. Cable sections end around (N46.5046, E11.8315). Hike N up to meet trail 638 around (N46.5066, E11.8306). Follow trail NW to summit of Piz Boè (N46.5088, E11.8283, elev 3,152m), with a rifugio / hut serving food and drinks.
