Via Ferrata Giovanni Lipella is a long route with the harder sections protected by steel cables, which the climber clips into with the carabiners of a special Via Ferrata kit attached to their harness. Starts from parking at Rifugio Dibona (N46.5326, E12.0702). Starts roughly west for about 2.5 km, then enters a tunnel (N46.5328, E12.0443). About 150 meters up and up inside the tunnel with a cable handrail. Headlamp needed for tunnel. Emerge into daylight, then traverse on a ledge roughly north for about 650 meters to the steel cable (N46.5386, E12.0422) which is the start of the "real" climbing. Several cable-protected up sections intermingled with horizontal traverses trending NE. At last, reach Tre Dita (N46.5444, E12.0468), with an option to escape to Rifugio Giusane. Next 250 meters S on rising ledge to steel cable (N46.5417, E12.0462) which leads to summit area.
