New Beach Approach to Beach Pond

Park at the first gate back up the hill east from the pond, south side. Be sure to not block the gate & be well away from the road. Follow the old dirt road south, staying left at the Y. In 5 min The New Beach bouldering ledge is obvious on the left. Continuing on the trail (unblazed, careful of spur trails leading rt towards the pond) and you'll make a right trending stream crossing a natural dam. Soon after you'll be in back of PSW & Normandy on your right and as you are approaching Hemlock Ledge meet up with the yellow trail.
The way brings you by the New Beach and avoids some of the traffic along the pond (especially during fishing season) - Short 5 min to New Beach, ~10min to the Hand of Man cave
