The opening gambit

Description

The nicest route on this little buttress, some nice moves.

The crux, as usual for Devils Lake, is at the bottom above a rocky landing. Definitely height dependent - easier if you are tall.

Location

As you head North along the base, this is on the NE side of the first buttress.

Protection

Standard rack.

Oh yes-- again and again. Great little climb bottom to top.

Feet all over the place at the bottom. Seriously. Actually, just kidding, but this was a lot of fun. I'd definitely put this on the list of things to lead one day.

I think you guys got this one wrong. This would be the right variation of "The Starlet" as named on MP. This line as posted is named as a variation in Sven's guide. Never again is to the right ending with an off-fist crack.

Nick's right, the name I first gave for this was wrong.

So- did you give this the naming Doug? It's a good one.
