Add Photo  Add Comment    Printer View

Description

The highball Y crack with a sketchy landing.

Location

On the main trail off to the right. To get to the top to set up a TR or to down climb there is an easy way up just to the right of the crack.

Protection

Crash Pads and spotters or Top Rope or trad climb it. An anchor can be built easily using some hexes and some cams.

I angered a baby rattlesnake at the base of this climb today. I must have stepped right over him on the way in!! cause after a brief look at the climb I walked back he was right in my path...!

I saw a huge rattle snake at the base of this climb like 2 years ago. He was real angry too.

I went to climb it this summer and i saw my ex there. Even the rattlesnake wanted nothing to do with her! The snake and i left!

V1 !? Wow. Ray Palmer and I did this boulder in 1968 as part of our circuit at HF, and we were calling it 5.7. No chalk, no pads, Cortinas. It was committing though. Maybe it's changed since then. I'd love to go back here after 45 years and check it out.

I just saw it in a guide or something rated as V1, but yeah for sure it's pretty easy. No pads or rope in 1968 is pretty badass.
