Description 

Spider Peak is a monolith rising dramatically above Lake 10,359. Several technical routes ascend it's flanks, ranging in difficulty from 5.5 to 5.9.

The Southwest Ridge (5.5, II), the Southeast Face (5.6, II), the East Buttress (5.7, II), the Northeast Buttress (5.8, III), and the Northeast Face (5.9, IV) offer climbers options or multiple objectives.

Rock quality is varied, ranging from adequate to very poor.

Bring fishing poles! Many lakes around Spider Peak have excellent fishing.

Getting There 

The most direct access is through the Trail Lake Ranch trailhead on the east side of the mountains. Trail Lake Ranch is about 1.5 hours from Jackson. From the trailhead, hiking south through Bomber Basin on the Bomber Trail for about 8 miles will deposit visitors at Bomber Lake. From this lake, traveling west/southwest up faint trails for an hour will lead to Spider Peak.
