Description

A complex peak rising above Baptiste Lake, across the valley from the N Face of Mt. Hooker. The dramatic west side offers several long routes, the classic being the West Buttress. The entire peak sits within the borders of the Wind River Indian Reservation, where particular rules about travel do apply. Inquiries can be made to the appropriate agencies at Ft. Washakie.

Getting There

Aproaches from either side of the divide have advantages, but it's a long ways, period. Trailheads are Big Sandy, Scab Creek, or Dickinson Park.
