Description 

Stiff. Overhanging the whole way. Starts off with wild moves on overhanging buckets, then a crux encounter getting into and through the first ten feet of the crack, eases off to 5.10 after that. Cool technical climbing with lots of variety. Crankenstein doesn't get nearly the respect it deserves, this is one of the best harder cracks at Vedauwoo. Do it!

Location 

Pretty much right off the trail that runs right behind The Cupcake, in some aspens. This crack is the rightmost of two parallel, slightly left-leaning cracks (the left one is BG crack). Should stand out based on the above description.

Protection 

#6 Zero through #3.5 Friend, plus a #5 unless you want to run out the easy though somewhat insecure wide section up top. One bolt at the bottom. Watch the rock in the horizontals at the beginning. People have decked or come real close to it clipping their first piece after the bolt. Pretty strenuous. Shuts up and left from the top of the crack.
