Adam Gable working on this tricky little flared te...

Description

This is a bottomed out overhanging flared hand and finger crack. It has a hard and tricky crux right away, and after that backs off to flared 5.11 hands to the top. Start with a hand in the lowest pod with the other hand below that pod. A bit of an eliminate, the seam to the left is off. This was an old project.

Location

This is on the obvious overhanging boulder about a hundred yards off the road as you head down hill toward the Crow Creek crossing. It should stand out because it has a couple of prominent looking cracks on it that face the road. If you have ever driven down the Vedauwoo road looking for cracks to boulder, you have probably walked up to this boulder. The Process of Belief is the right most crack.

Protection

One pad will do.

It's me. Hardest goddamn, static dyno to thumbs-down flared jam that only works if the square root of the coefficient of friction, moons lined up, thing that I have ever tried.
You get the idea anyway. Besides that, it is a really great line.
