Description

Faces due south, but at this elevation and in this state, it tends to be reasonably cool year round.

Steep pocketed limestone is the story here. This is one of the many crags that make up the "Mondo Beyondo" area.

Great climbing here - favorites include "Happiness in Slavery" (12b) and "Screaming Night Hog" (12C). There are about a dozen routes on this wall, mostly in the 5.12 range.

Getting There

The parking area is on the north side of the road, just on the west side of Tensleep Creek, at the top of the canyon. A reasonably good trail leads to the crag.

More beta may be available at aaronhuey.com. Or there is also a guide in R&I #94, and in the 2004 July R&I.

Great climb starting up the center of the wall below the left side of the large overhang. Climb straight up a crack and then head right through great pockets when it gets overhanging.
