Hey all! I'm looking to take a trip out in the Pacific Northwest area and some in between. When I'm looking to do that fairly soon. Is it crazy to come out this time year and still possible to climb?! I'd be coming from Boulder Colorado, and would need a partner. I spend most of my days climbing around here and Indian Creek. Trout Creek is been on my list for a long time and would love to get out. I was hoping to bring my mountain bike and snowboard as well maybe get that in? Also what does the camping look like around Trout Creek and or Smith rock? If anyone has some time off in the near future let's get some stuff figured out! I have a quad rack to three black diamond and singles to a #6.

Give me a call if interested 303/859-0361

I think you would find trout awfully cold this time of year, I don't believe it gets Sun until the afternoon. If it's sunny, Smith is climbable but the camping wouldn't be very comfortable at either spot.

Of course, it all depends on what you're willing to endure.

Thanks, kinda figured it would be that way. I have no problem climbing in 40's, and chasing the sun. Need some new scenery

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
