This area has access issues. Please read the details below.

Access Issues

One of the routes has access issues. YOU MUST get the landowner's permission to climb Quarry Monster. Dennis lives in the last trailer on the road heading into the quarry; bring some beer and have some fun!

Description

This area is an ice climbing destination in southwestern Wisconsin. It consists of about a half-dozen climbs up to 70 feet high. The largest climb is in a private quarry called Quarry Monster; the other climbs are located along the railroad tracks heading north from the parking area and along Hwy X.

Getting There

The "parking area" is located along Cty Hwy X north of the town of Wyalusing by a large limestone butte across the road from the quarry.

Do you mean that this is an ice destination in southwest Wisconsin? Or am I just mixed up?

Hey Kris. Leading is encouraged! Go for it. Some of the isolated pillars require a V-Thread to get off (or you can leave screws) though. I am contemplating permanent lowering anchors with the land owners permission of course.
