West Side

Description 

The west side of High Cliff contains most of its highest quality and hardest climbing.

I am not sure of any official route names or first ascensionists. The only routes I'll be putting up to start are those that I used to climb back in high school when I lived in the Fox valley. Since I don't know any official names, I'll be using the what we called the routes back then or something that makes sense with its location, etc.

If anyone feels a route name should be changed or first ascent credit given, drop me a line and I'll try to get it done for you.

Getting There 

At the fork in the main road coming up the bluff from the North Entrance go right. Park in the first parking area on your right (it helps to drive as far into the parking area as possible).

Upon exiting your vehicle walk towards Lake Winnebago (West) across a flat expanse of limestone, that will make you dream if being vertical instead of horizontal. This will bring you to what feels like a scenic overlook. You'll know you are in the right place when you get to the strategically placed barrier boulders (both limestone and granite).

Once here you will be at the top of the Parking Lot Overhang Area. The rest of the West Side areas lie down the trail to the South.
