Lovato crankin' on Gorilla Action

Description

Sit start and climb, using good holds, up the wall left of The Overhang. Top out.

It starts on 2 solid blocks and moves to the right for a big move to some small crimps with your right. Once on the serious of small crimps one can heel hook left on the stating blocks or just campus the hell out of the remaining holds to the top out. Feet are uber-important on the top-out unless you enjoy cranking on shallow finger pockets on the top of the face.

The park service simply pushes the leaves from the grounds over the edge. This makes for a very squishy, friendly landing.

Location

It's in the leaf-filled corridor below the pavilion area--just left of the cave that houses The Overhang. It climbs the wall that makes up the left side of the cave.

Protection

A pad/spotter due to some errant rocks at the landing.

This problem was a favorite of ours. It is a great warm up before an attempt on The Overhang. We would often end the day on this problem because the holds are skin-friendly.
