Cool Hand Luke V2  WI : Governor Dodge State Park : Group Camp A
Start low and left in the pit at an obvious jug at eye level. Move up and round the corner to your right onto the face and up arete to mantle topout. Hard to avoid the butt-dab on the rock behind you as you round the corner, but still great problem. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in WI

Overhanging Boulder uphill and more or less in the center of the Group A boulder cluster. The overhanging face faces north. It's actually pretty tall if you factor in the deep pit that you start climbing in. Very cool boulder. One obvious line starts from the low left deep in the pit, with a jug at eye level (see Cool Hand Luke). Another cool line is a SDS on the right low corner in the pit and climbs the face (see Just Dew It). Also see Chris Cross Choss, which starts on CHL and goes up the thin rail to the right and finishes JDI, eliminates the large ledge to the left. Fun!

Aaron and I just started developing this area as of 04.18.09. There are numerous fins with problems ranging V1-4+/5? Maybe? I'm sure there are still many pearls to be found in this area. There are also several highball proud problems up the hill as well as a chimney/offwidth and several nice looking cracks. More development to come!

If by highball problems up the hill you mean free solos!!! (Maybe I'm just too old, but that stuff is pretty tall). There are some shorter ones that could be developed around and to the left but that wall was soaked yesterday at least.
