Last night, Paul, Chris and I were having some fun making our way up the west bluff. Paul did his first trad lead on "The Bone" and Chris and I followed. By they time we got up to Weissner's, it was getting pretty late. I led up "Stinger" and setup a belay on the ledge halfway up to bring them both up. The plan was for me to lead "Weissner's Face". By the time they both got up, it was pitch black. I opted out of the face, and figured I'd lead "Upper Weissner Crack" instead. I turned on my headlamp and climbed on. That was fun as hell!! Being so dark, you could look back and it really gave you the feeling of being up on a big wall or something. Climbing in the dark is freakin sweet!
