Me and my nemisis, starting yet another doomed att...

Description

Around the left corner from Bagatelle, Beginner's Demise ascends the picturesque arete. Funky corner palming makes this route stand out among Devil's Lake crimp-fests. Beginner's Demise may be a good training route for the same kind of moves on Gill's Nose.

It was lead by Al Chekolinski back in the late 70's,never since to my knowledge. Tommy Duechler chipper his copper head on his ascent of bagatelle. I remove the Head in 87 when I lead bagatelle, it was or seemed like a good placement. Lately the hold seems a little hollow.

I've soloed this route, so it has at least seen a second ascent. I also asked Al about this route a while ago and he said something about how they use to just call everything hard 10. Damn f-scale.
