Description

If you've got the Flatiron, Tombstone, and Martini Madness wired or just need a new addition to your East Bluff bouldering circuit, check out the Flux Boulder. The Flux is basically a boxcar tilted a few degrees off vertical and offers 4-5 problems 2 of which are must do's. The classic line is the center route, left of the tree. A funky sidepull/highstep sets one up for a stab at a good crimp, then an exciting top out on similar holds. The other choice line is the right corner; just climb up and top out on cool pockets/gashes. Good shade and surrounding boulders make the flux a good choice on hot summer days!

Getting There

The Flux is located directly below the last set of steps which lead to the Flatiron. Look for the lone pine tree; the flux is right next to it! Happy crankin'!

Eric Zschiesche did it when the boulder was first discoverd and all the obvious lines were plucked. It is a good powerfull start to a fun problem.
