My trip to Atlanta for the holidays has turned into a longer stay because home (Moab) is freezing right now. Looking to spend ~month climbing here, ideally at a single location (budget concerns). I've got a van and my double rack but left my 70m in Utah. Is T-Wall doable long-term, or should I focus on bouldering? Are there any free options for self-contained camping vehicles around HP40?
Without a rope or partner, is T-Wall worth going to? Easy to meet up with parties in need of another ropegun? Also, are any free camping options around HP40?
check into rocktown. they might have a time limit on how long you can stay. camping is free, but you need a georgia rec pass (GORP). lost wall is right down the road if you find a rope.
Chattanooga would be the place to hang. I have heard that the DNR have recently posted new signs along the road at TWall preventing camping in most of the 'overflow' areas. It is always packed there on the weekends when it's cold. But, there are cliff lines everywhere and more boulders than you could ever climb around Chattanooga!

Not likely...especially if you refer to yourself as a "rope gun". No free camping around HP. Rocktown is the best bet...free camping up top, just buy the pass online first...$19 annual pass...pretty damn cheap.
