Feeling the forearm pain enroute to the the fifth ...

Description

This well protected sport climb that traverses left along a solid white dike is at the northwest base of the Isles in the Sky formation. Powerful lockoffs and technical footwork are essential for the duration of this very engaging climb that is only about 30' long.

The grade may be soft relative to other 5.12b climbs at J-Tree.

Protection

This sport climb requires quickdraws for five bolts. A two bolt anchor with runners is at the end of the climb.

Also known as "No Pain, No Gaines". Those slings are an eyesore and should be replaced with some metal hardware.

I think Vern must mean that the traverse on the dike is only about 30 feet long, as the route is certainly longer.
