The White Cliffs of Dover, Joshua Tree NP

Description 

This lesser visited portion of the White Cliffs is home to a small number of quality routes such as Shibumi (5.10d), Red Tide (5.10d), Red Snapper (5.11a) and Soviet Union (5.11c).


Getting There 

Standard approach from Quail Springs Picnic Area then head right along the cliffband when at the base. Plan on 30-40 minutes from the car.

A couple of steep, burly moves off the ground lead to much more relaxed thin liebacking and jamming. Not terribly sustained for the grade but you have to be able to pull the first couple of moves.
