BETA PHOTO: Getting to the Western Wall Area

The Western Wall Area is home to some of the finest rock and some of the the longest routes in the Alabama Hills. Approximately 10 different crags make up the area.

Getting There

Follow Movie Road North from Whitney Portal Road. The Western Wall area is located on the left-hand side just before Movie Road hangs a 90-degree right and heads East away from the mountains.

Alabama Hills Gang 5.10a 6a 18 VI+ E1 5a  CA : Sierra Eastside : ... : The Loaf
Of all the routes on 'The Loaf', Alabama Hills Gang has a flavor all its own. Unlike 'The Pangborn', AHG starts off with sustained thin slab work before reaching the nice patina plates that the rest of The Loaf is known for. So, lace them shoes up tight! Beware....there's a good sized gap ...[more]   Browse More Classics in CA

Actually I would consider The Western Wall in the Tall Wall area. Truffle Tower, The Loaf and The Hoodgie Wall would be in the Meatloaf Cave area. Where Meatloaf made his video.
