Pulling pockets at the Desert Skies Area

Description 

Stays shady and cool compared to the rest of the Happy's. Contains many classics and tends to be less crowded than the center of the canyon.


Getting There 

This is the left side rim. Approach from several trails. Try trailheads near the Totty Traverse, The Gleaner, and Slap Happy.

Moving to the cool pinch on the arete.

The Clapper V6  CA : Sierra Eastside : ... : Clapper Boulder
The crux is going to be moving off of teh wide slopy pinch which can be done with either hand. Somewhat contrived in that the scoop of Pig Pen is off, so stick to the arete and holds to the right.
