You can get to West Point by taking "Short Line Bus" from NYC, it's an hour and a half drive (making all local stops). The bus stop will drop you on the parking lot and picks up there too, there is no terminal or even busstop. Just walk further toward McDonalds (about 5 mins), cut through their parking lot down and follow the road. When you reach Hudson just walk along the tracks about 10-15 mins (careful with trains running a lot there). The routes will be on your left.
