Might try to head out there this weekend, I'm on call so does anyone know if there's cell phone reception?

The boulders are located only about 13 miles west of Nephi (not 20 as the description suggests).

Anyone know what kind of winter sun this place gets? I'd love to have a place closer than Joe's/Triassic to go to in the winter.

Pawilkes- the area is huge & spread out boulders face all directions. I could see wind loading snow in certain areas but I bet it'd be tits in 40+ temps with some trompin boots to post hole through to said destination. But I'd just save yourself a trip and pm the locals who prob can give you the quickest answer.

I went today. You do need boots and there is a bit of wind, i'd say 15mph or so at miday. Cell service was super shotty for verizon. Fun place though.

I'll be heading down there on sunday to check it out for the first time, I'm also hoping this'll be a good winter bouldering spot. Before this area gets developed further, does anyone have access info? Is this public land?

what do you mean by developed more??? this place has been climbed since the 80's and I personally have done just about every single thing that's possibly able to do out there.....there is at least 250 problems out there..

Great area, zero people, lots of great problems and plenty of high balls! There were lots of routes to top rope, rock quality was pretty good, though I did break off some edges here and there. Offwidth bouldering galore! We found the area between mile marker 19 & 20 on route 132. Camping spots close to the area were somewhat hard to find. Zero Cell Phone reception for me. You could boulder for years and never do the same problems twice. Much much larger than the over view pic, this area is massive!
