BETA PHOTO: The technical crux.

Climb the short arete on the left corner of the alcove. The first hold is a large flake. Match a crimp and clip the first bolt, then flail for holds in a messy chalked up section of broken rock. Clip the second bolt and commit to the steep section on monster holds in cool huecos that may be hard to see in time. Pull through the huecos to a huge pocket on the face, clip the bolt on the left side of the arete, and struggle to find that tiny hold that will get you to the jug at the chains.

The short arete on the Southeast corner of the Alcove, right as the wall switches from east to south facing.

4 bolts to chains.
