Access Issue: PLACING BOLTS IS ILLEGAL IN THE SUPERSTITION WILDERNESS! Details

In the early '90's the USFS banned all placement of bolts in the Superstition Wilderness. This unfortunately includes replacement of existing bolts. Violating this ban may result in climbing restrictions on this beautiful area. Please think twice and go bolt somewhere else.

Description

A secluded 180 foot spire with two routes and possibilities for at least one more. The rock is good and protects nicely, at least for the route The Last Fandango. The route The Grope has a fair share of rotten and loose rock.

Getting There

Park at the Hieroglyphic Canyon Trailhead and plan for a one hour approach. You will not be able to see the spire from the parking area and for most of the approach.
