Hubby and I are headed to Red Rocks in March for our one year anniversary. We're both fairly new to climbing - I'm comfortable following a 5.9, and, fortunately, he's comfortable leading a 5.9 sport :o) I caught the climbing bug in Moab while on a road trip in October/November and spent the next month traveling from crag to crag, so my experience is limited but has all been outdoors. He started in the gym for a couple years but was on the same road trip with me so he's had that outdoor experience as well.

We'd love to find others in the area who enjoy leading trad climbs who wouldn't mind us tagging along on some routes (I know it's annoying cause there are two of us). We're both still pretty happy top roping and if there are folks out there who love to lead and need someone to belay them, here we are!! We know multi-pitch climbs take forever with 3, but neither of us are picky about what or where we are climbing or need to get up super high...as long as we're on some rock somewhere,we're happy :o)

We'd obviously provide the rope...and food...and beer...and would entertain other requests. We'll be camping but will have a rental car. We might also be willing to offer monetary compensation to someone who would come out and climb with us, we just can't afford 5 days of guide services from companies etc.

Peace,
Dove

You might consider extending your trip just a bit and participating in some clinics at the Red Rock Rendezvous:

I'm guessing that giving any monetary compensation to friendly folks would constitute illegal guiding on the friendly folks' part...

Dove and Hub,
It will be busy there, spring break somewhere. Campground will be close to full and if you are not staying there, roam around the campground and check the bulletin board. Be prepared for snow and/or sunburn. Might see you there. Steve
