View of Diamond Fork Canyon from Red ...

Description

Popular for camping, fishing, and hunting, Diamond Fork Canyon has some rock and a little winter ice climbing as well. Besides abundant wildlife, watch for range cattle and the occasional harmless “Blow Snake”. Keep an eye out for rattlesnakes as well.

Drinking water is available during the summer months at Diamond Campground (click here for reservations).

Getting There

Drive south on I-15, take the Price/Manti exit 258, and follow US-6 into Spanish Fork Canyon. The turn for Diamond Fork Canyon is located at mile marker 184 on the east side of the road (5.5 miles from the mouth of SF Canyon). The Red Ledges area is seven (7) miles up Diamond Fork Canyon. It is another three (3) miles to Three Forks Trail Head (trail head for 5th water hot springs).

During a heavy snow year the Diamond Fork Canyon road is closed after six (6) miles.
