Description

A short, enjoyable route using many positive edges for hands and feet.

Start on the ledge directly below the slabby face. Climb up solid, lichen-covered quartzite passing three bolts to chain anchors. Note thankfully that you're not climbing on the original hardware. Going up and over the slight bulge after the third bolt is a bit of fun.

Location

I'm Not Lichen This climbs up the middle of the west-facing slab that is to the immediate north of the main Ed and Terry Wall.

Protection

Three bolts, chain anchors.

The original hardware from I'm Not Lichen This, replaced Aug 4, 2008.

Quarter-inch wedge bolts and homemade aluminum hangers. One of the hangers broke so easily that I doubt any of these ever held a fall.

The original hardware from I'm Not Lichen This...

Perin yankin' those bolts out.

I can't believe I clipped this....

Luckily you get to clip these nice 3/8" stainless bolts now.

This is in the Ruckman guide at 5.7. I didn't think it was quite 5.7.

Super fun face climbing! Approach is a bit awkward but is definitely worth it. Perin Blanchard just replaced the old bolts so this is now a fairly safe route.

Christian did at least half the work.
