This buttress is broken in appearance. It has some really fun climbing on it despite appearance. Another East facing cliff the upper pitches see sun early while the lower pitches take a bit to get into the sun due to the fact they are literally at the bottom of the gulch. The cool looking black streak up high on a clean slab is the Anniversary Pitch on Diff'rent Strokes.
Really cool belay ledges and beautiful scenery make for a pleasant experience on the longer outings. On Diff'rent Strokes while going ground up we found an old sling around a bush on what we dubbed "The Phillip Drummond Ledge" at the base of the Anniversary Pitch. This is one of two pieces of webbing we found while climbing around the canyon.
Getting There
From Minions of Chaos walk up the gulch and talus slope hugging the left side of the gulch (west). There is a flat-ish area at one of the thinnest parts of the gulch here with a nice looking boulder just behind it. The routes start out of here. Look for a couple of fixed pins down low, this is Diff'rent Strokes, Ornery Miss Garrett starts 8 feet to the right with it's own fixed pins as well.
