This route was probably named this scary name because it was first climbed back when large protection was available. Now with the equipment we have available, I would not consider this route runout. There is protection the whole way, pending you've spent the dough on large cams. This route climbed the right side of the Nose of the Waterfront. This off-width can be viewed from the Schoolroom Rappel area. This route is good to the last drop. If you think you may want to climb an offwidth, this is the one for you. After some blocky easy climbing, put one side of your body into the steep offwidth. Grovel for quite some time, then enjoy the exciting exit moves at the top.
Location
I hiked from the Kermits Wad area, traversed over (west) Barfoot in Barbados, and followed bushy rock ledges to the base of the route. It is possible to hike down and right (west) towards the area of Disco Duck, and find a slung tree to lower off of. Reference the Wasatch guidebook for the exact location.
Protection
I used the largest Wild County cam and It fit wonderful. It fit better than a #5 black diamond. The #5 black diamond is useful, but is tipped out in places. Tubers would work great. After the guts of the offwidth, small cams from .5,.75,1,2,3,3.5 camalots are useful. There are slings around a bush/tree that has seen better days. It would be highly encouraged to drill a chain anchor near the bush/tree.
tried this route but didn't get very far. Got into the crack but would have liked to have something bigger than the bd now I have a reason to get the wild country. You can down climb most of it but instead of down climbing the whole thing i went east up the ramp to the tree that now has some of my webbing and rapped off. Deffintly will come bag for another try!!
